The institute has a well stocked library with about 25,000 books, training manuals, research studies, reports and government publications on different subjects especially on social sciences, local government, rural development and allied areas. A good number of journals and newsletters from home and abroad are also available in the library. The library also subscribes for 12 dailies (both Bengali and English) newspapers and 5 international and 2 national magazines. The faculty members and employees of the institute and participants of different courses use the library regularly. The library is also open for the officers of the various ministries, teachers and students of the universities/colleges, researchers, trainers, planners, NGOs and so on.
